The festival of hot air balloons takes place once a year in Tigard, Oregon, and is a beautiful, colorful festival. At o'dark thirty, everyone shows up to see 15, 20 or more balloons fill and rise in to the air. So many balloons are going up at the same time, that I jog from one to another, and still can't capture them all, it happens quickly.

I wanted this to be a colorful photo, with a balloon shape, so I put the drop collision inside a bubble. Bubbles are surprisingly strong, and I can get a couple drops before it breaks. I coax the bubble to where I estimate the drop to fall, and "drop, click."

As usual, this is also a single image capture, I only do minor enhancements in Photoshop.
